Senior AI Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our mission. As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for building innovative solutions that help users to buy and sell items effectively. Key areas of the DS team are recommendation & search systems, product authorities, fraud detection, trust and safety, pricing models, and user segmentation.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to explore, design, build, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. You will also be responsible for ensuring high-quality ML services are delivered at scale, and delivering impactful results for our users.

With a focus on delivering results and making a real impact, you will play a key role in driving the success of the Data Science team and our platform as a whole.

• Take the lead in initiatives, research, and realize solutions to improve Chotot business by applying Machine Learning / Deep Learning technologies and knowledge
• Develop and own metric measurements to assess the quality and performance of ML services
• Responsible for the full cycle of ML development: including data collection, training, deployment, production monitoring, and model quality control
• Translate data insights into compelling narratives that support data-driven decision-making at both tactical and strategic levels
• Communicate and influence senior management, and executive team members

The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning and a strong background in recommendation systems. You should be highly-skilled in programming and have experience working with large data sets and distributed systems.

• Have experience in building, and maintaining machine learning services related to e-commerce industry that scale to millions of users (Recommendation system, Search, Pricing, User segmentation…etc)
• You have practical experience in deploying ML solutions to production (on a public cloud) with demonstrable real business impacts
• Experience crafting, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting experiments and investigations
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistics
• Proficiency in one of the deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch
• Expertise in Python, experience in bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and familiar with microservices, event-driven architecture.
• Practical working experience with GCP cloud technologies (AI Platform, Vertex AI, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Function) is a plus
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to deliver concise, actionable solutions
