Provide engineering leadership of manufacturing production operations. Own and maintain a high sense of urgency in both understanding customer needs and meeting those needs
Manage engineering activities in mechanical, electrical, electronic, automation, process and facility maintenance to achieve desired financial goals
A technical advisor, mentor, trainer and coach regarding tasks, projects and operations. Lead and manage people, including setting expectations, assessing performance, providing feedback, delegating tasks, having difficult conversations, and engaging and developing employees
Lead the Capital Expenditure proposals, include technical specifications, buy-off evaluation, installation and projects execution in phases
Enforce adherence to company, manufacturing, and engineering policies, processes and procedures governing work assignments
Interface with suppliers and subcontractors for verification and validation of tooling requirements, legal compliance and conduct efficacy and efficiency evaluation
Develop a sustainable capability roadmap to deliver cost productivity through Six Sigma, ISO, GMP, OEE, JIT layout flow, 5S and LEAN manufacturing practices. Drive continual process improvement activities to eliminate wastes, and improving operational efficiency through technology deployment
Providing technical leadership to manufacturing in product and process troubleshooting, and deploy control plan to prevent repeats
Work collaboratively with EHS, NPDI, Production operations and Quality to develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work, includes Machine Parameter Setting (MPS) and Troubleshooting Guides
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
Experience in paper and pulp manufacturing is an added advantage
