THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB:

We’re looking for a System Engineer to help develop and maintain the infrastructure system. In this role, you will collaborate with the CDP team members on a day-to-day basis to provide a world-class customer experience to our clients and their audiences. Key responsibilities include:

Ensure performance and availability of infrastructure.
Respond to incidents promptly and identify potential issues.
Research new system techniques/tools to improve the current system.
Implement DevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code, automation build, CI/CD pipeline, orchestration, monitoring…

Install and operate hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure
Monitor infrastructure to maintain stability, provide action plans, optimizing plans.
Manage backup and recovery strategy.
Plan and execute system upgrade tasks with other teams.
Coordinate to detect and resolve network infrastructure, hardware and software problems.
Provide reports and documents within the scope of work periodically or as required.

Graduated in Network, System Engineer, Information System, Telecommunications, ... or equivalent certificates.
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX-based systems.
Setting-up and working with physical infrastructure (Dell, Cisco, HP, IBM, …)
Setting-up and working with Cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP, …)
Problem-solving, Multitasking
Experience creating scripts (Bash, Python...) and setting up software for automation (Shells, Ansible, Salt, Jenkins, …)
Experience in working with AWS services (EC2, EC2 ASG, AWS ALB, AWS NLB, Route 53, S3, Cloudfront, IAM, Cloudwatch)
Experience in working with Hybrid architecture (On-premise and Cloud)
Experience in working with Failover, High Availability architecture
Experience in working with containers (Docker/Kubernetes/…)
Experience in the administration and performance tuning of web application stacks (Haproxy, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ...)
Experience in monitoring tools like Zabbix, Cacti, ...
Experience in configuring and setting up Hadoop clusters (HDFS, Yarn, HBASE, Zookeeper) is a plus.
Experience on Cloudera and/or Hortonworks distribution preferred is a plus
