Job Overview:

 

The Supply Planner plays an essential role in the seamless operation of supply chain activities, ensuring that we have the right products in the warehouse for on-time delivery to customers, inventory levels are maintained in a manner that aligns with demand forecasts and business objectives. This position involves a careful balance of analyzing sales trends, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with stakeholders to optimize inventory turnover and minimize overstock situations.

1. Supply Planning, Forecasting & Optimization

  • Manage purchase requisitions and purchase order (PO) process ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle supplier-related matters including PO status, pricing, allocation, cancellation, and payment coordination.
  • Maintain and update delivery schedules to internal teams and purchasing data in SAP system.
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and input from Sales and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor customer demand fluctuations and adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Track forecast error and bias, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly supply plans aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, and internal teams: sales, sales admin, service team, engineering team & business leader to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure product availability.
  • Optimize supply plans to balance service levels, costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish prioritization and allocation rules for forecasted and non-forecasted demand.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs such as product availability, service level, and forecast accuracy.

 

2. Inventory Management

  • Optimize inventory levels to maintain high service levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock and lead cross-functional resolution of demand-related issues (e.g., forecast gaps, shortages, excess inventory risks).
  • Coordinate with vendors and QA team on quality-related issues.
  • Monitor stock availability on a regular basis to prevent stock-outs.
  • Utilize SAP or relevant systems for inventory tracking, planning, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and timely replenishment.

 

3. S&OP Coordination (Sales & Operations Planning)

  • Lead and coordinate monthly S&OP meetings with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Sales Admin, Service Admin, Supply Chain team, etc.).
  • Consolidate demand and supply plans to achieve alignment and consensus.
  • Prepare reports, and analysis for S&OP review meetings.
  • Ensure alignment between demand plans, financial KPIs, and supply capabilities.
  • Track execution of agreed plans and ensure adherence to timelines.

 

4. Risk Mitigation & Analysis

  • Identify potential supply chain risks such as supplier delays, demand volatility, and inventory shortages.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on forecast variances and supply disruptions.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Proactively recommend strategies to improve forecasting accuracy and reduce operational costs.

 

5. Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on demand, supply, and inventory performance.
  • Track KPIs and provide insights for decision-making and process improvements.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across planning and supply chain activities.

Kỹ năng & trình độ của bạn
  • University degree with preferred Logistics and Supply Chain management, International Economics (APICS certification as a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain or related roles within supply chain planning role (e.g: Manufacturing, Distributing, FMCG Industry). Experience in the industrial spare parts is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, demand planning concepts, and inventory management principles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and/or Power BI; ability to manage large datasets and complex analyses.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage pressure and tight timelines.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to drive improvements rather than maintain status quo.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, result-driven environment.
