Engineering Manager (strong Python)

• Analyze user requirements and design scalable, testable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Writing functional and operational documentation.
• Manage a small team of developers
• Reviewing code written by junior colleagues and/or teammates.
• Work closely with other colleagues, such as project managers, UX/UI designers, other developers, systems analysts, Product owners and sales and marketing professionals to develop client and in-house solutions.
• Review new technologies to identify their impact and fit within our existing solutions or future development.
• Continually update technical knowledge and skills.

The Ideal Candidate

• You have 5+ years of experience as a software developer, with at least 2 years managing a team
• You are an expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework (such as Django, Flask, FastAPI)
• You have perfect SQL skills (PostgreSQL, data modeling, scaling, performance)
• You have a good understanding of container technology (Docker, k8s)
• You are familiar with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
• You know how to make synchronous and asynchronous processes ( RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• You can integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• You have an understanding of the threading limitations of Python and multi-process architecture
• You have a good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc)
• You have a good understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (Vue.js, Angular frameworks)
• You have an understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• You have knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• You know how to write documentation and how to describe an architecture of your solutions
• You have good communication skills
