We are seeking an experienced and passionate WordPress Back-end Developer with WooCommerce expertise to contribute to our success story. As a WordPress Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our e-commerce websites. You will work closely with our front-end developers and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality websites that meet our clients' needs.

Your role & responsibilities

Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes
Demonstrate strong skills in WordPress plugin development
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of back-end functionality with user interfaces
Optimize website performance, security, and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress and third-party plugins
Guide and train current team members to enhance their knowledge and abilities in plugin development
Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the team's coding standards and best practices
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive

Your skills & qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
6 months of experience in WordPress back-end development, specifically with e-commerce websites
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and RESTful API development
Expertise in WooCommerce, payment gateways, and other e-commerce-related plugins
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
Strong understanding of web security and performance optimization best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify or Magento
Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as React or Vue.js
Experience with automated testing and continuous integration
