We are looking for a Web Developer, Javascript/Node.JS to join our team in HCMC, Vietnam.
The Web Developer, Javascript/Node.JS contributes to GeoGuard’s success by developing and maintaining GeoGuard products as assigned by the Development Lead. This role will report to the Product Manager, Mobile/Solus and take direction from the Development Lead. The Web Developer, Javascript/Node.JS contributes to the implementation process of features and solutions and maintains open communication with the Development Lead, Project Manager, Mobile/Solus and QA team.
Our ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of experience in front-end web development (JS/html5) and at least two (2) years of experience in Node.JS web development. You are able to interact daily with systems that are used in professional software development such as JIRA. You are able to, and enjoy, working with multiple teams across locations, have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles and have a great passion working in agile development process environments.
Your role & responsibilities
Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Research new features, analyze requirements, estimate implementation, design software, code reviews and document solutions
- Design solutions taking nonfunctional and operational requirements into consideration
- Participate in the development and maintenance of platform automation testing tools and automation test suites
- Follow and comply with unit/integration test practices
- Participate in the quality assurance of software deliveries
- Maintain server side of Node.JS products
- Develop and maintain GeoGuard products
- Prepare release notes and build packages to deliver to customers
- Ensure applications are delivered at the requested level of quality
- Understand the full life-cycle of development
- Follow best practices and processes established by the team
Your skills & qualifications
- At least 3+ years’ experience in front-end web development (JS/HTML5)
- At least 2+ year’s experience in Node.JS web development
- Intermediate understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles
- Experience using professional software development systems such as Jira, Git and Confluence
- Experience in PHP web development is an asset
- Results-orientated with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate written and spoken technical English, enough to discuss issues with teams remotely
