About Company
We are looking for an experienced API Integration Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will work in a team (with a project manager and software engineer) to build and, rollout APIs and other data flow integrations to our customers and partner services. This role is a mix of project engineer and actual implementor so vast experience as a backend engineer is a must.
Your role & responsibilities
- Support the rollout of new APIs for integration with customer and partner services.
- Work with partner technical teams to propose innovative and scalable solutions for them to synchronize data with our systems.
- Maintain API and project technical documentation
- Be the technical owner for all integration related services in production
- Lead changes that streamline all integrations into centrally managed and shared systems
- Define guidelines for all new projects and lead integration engineers to best practices that security and scalability
- Set higher standards for implementation used by the integration engineers review code to ensure that these standards are upheld
- Have open discussion with the product engineers to keep up to date with changes to the product technical specifications and ensure integration system are kept within acceptable use guidelines for accessing shared infrastructure
- Lead investigation into reported issues with the technology or data and improve the process of reporting and diagnosing issues
Your skills & qualifications
- Vast expertise in Typescript, Node.js
- Created and maintained a set of APIs before. REST, GraphQL are preferred
- Written technical documentation for the planning and eventual schema of those APIs
- Deep understanding of database technologies. Familiar with optimizations for PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Followed sound coding practices - git, unit testing, CI/CD
- Confidence to take charge of raising and providing solutions to issues with various stakeholders should as they arise in the course of the project
