Your role & responsibilities

1/ Manufacturing process supervising, development, and improvement (50%):

  • Solve daily problems of production line to make sure yield, output and cost meet target
  • Assist engineers to carry out cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
  • Assist engineers in making samples and arranging materials.
  • Undertake the project tasks assigned by others for meeting the department objectives on time.
  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and bring them to attention of area process engineers and supervisors for undertaking with implication of cost saving.
  • Review of production processes regularly for updates and maintenance. Train new operators, or all operators for procedures updated.
  • Ensure production supplies are ordered on time for manufacturing needs
  • Assist engineers to conduct experiments, collect experimental data, and make preliminary conclusions.
  • Assist engineers in training and assessment of trainers and employees

2/ Manufacturing Process Support and Quality control (30%):

  • Check and ensure that the operators follow procedures during operation for each workstation.
  • Monitor to ensure production within spec and process are under control condition.
  • To control process as ISO requirements and make action taken for ISO internal audit.
  • To use SPC tools to analysis defects and other issues to find out the way continuous improvement and solving problem.
  • Work close with line leader, shift leader, section leader and operators to support their need and promptly feedback if they have question

3/ Machinery /Equipment maintenance and set up (10%):

  • To check, support and verify equipment after maintenance, reparation, or upgrade
  • Set up some authorized parameters for machine when there are modules change
  • Provide best practice for machine operation to operators. Cr oss check machines maintenance condition with maintenance staffs.

4/ Other (10%):

  • Support special projects as required

Your skills & qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Vocational Intermediate Level or College Degree in Mechanical /Industrial/ Mechatronics
  • 6+ years of related experience in manufacturing setting in relation to trouble shooting of process operation and diagnostic of production problems, broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience.
  • Experience in optical industry is advantage 

Skills

  • Understanding of technical drawing and basic chemical engineering principals to manufacture parts in high volume setting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and solve production problems effectively and timely manner in production setting.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Need to be responsible.
  • Be open to new knowledge.
  • Have a sense of teamwork.
  • Good computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, internet access, SPC software, do simple processing, give preliminary conclusions.

Working Conditions

  • Works in manufacturing environment.
