Software Engineer with Japanese N2+

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Play in a dynamic, collaborative, transparent, non-hierarchical, and ego-free culture where your talent is valued over a role title.
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Working autonomously, proactive following SCRUM (Agile).
  • Report to supervisor/client timely and effectively.

Your skills & qualifications:

  • Having experience in software development (more than 3+ years of experience), and have at least 1 year of experience in Japan’s company
  • Good understanding of database security and performance tuning (SQL server, NoSQL databases)
  • Good knowledge of architecture standards and solutions for his/her base technology platform, including reference architectures, and integration models/architectures (Clean Architecture, Micro-services, DDD…)
  • Strong experience with OOP
  • Hand-on experience with software principles such as SOLID, DRY..
  • Good on Cloud
  • Effective verbal Japanese skills in the video conference and face-to-face communication with N2+ level
  • Along with managing tasks within the project, this position also involves liaising with the Japanese office to obtain customer requests, which may involve conducting online video meetings with clients to gather specific project requirements
  • Additionally, this role entails facilitating the transfer of project information between teams
  • Having experience in Python, PHP, Ruby, Java, or ReactJS is a plus.
