Job Purpose:

Possesses software testing experience, both manual and automated, across various platforms including embedded systems, web applications, mobile applications, and integrated software systems.

Your role & responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Test softwares to ensure Bridgetek family of products meet and exceed quality standards. 
  • Understand the project requirements in each stage and work with stakeholders, test lead and team members in test planning, specification, identification, implementation, setup and execution of test cases
  • Involve in test software development related to test automation, test emulation (test driver and stub development) and general test scripting.
  • Perform the test activity, report the findings to team lead and project manager and follow up for verification and bug resolution
  • May be called upon to participate in product demonstrations to prospective clients. This may involve product demonstration planning, setup, presentation and actual demonstration
  • Any related and reasonable task assigned by management and deemed to be within the individual’s capabilities to ensure smooth running of the business

Your skills & qualifications

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, including test strategy, test planning, and test automation.
  • Proven experience leading test strategy and planning for multiple complex projects involving mobile applications, connected devices, web applications, and cloud services.
  • Experience testing IoT/networked embedded systems, including device-to-cloud communication and basic networking protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, and GitHub/Gitlab
  • Hands-on experience using Agentic AI and AI-assisted tools to enhance software testing activities, including test planning, test case/script development, test execution, defect reporting, test automation, analysis, and test metrics.
  • Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Kiwi TCMS, TestLink, or equivalent.
  • Experience with project/defect management tools such as Jira, Redmine, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a hardware/software product development company, particularly IoT product development, is preferred.

 

If you are applying for an Automation Test Engineer role, you are expected to have:

  • Strong programming experience in Python is mandatory; experience with other programming languages is an advantage
  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
  • Experience with Appium or equivalent tools for mobile application testing
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools for web application testing.
  • Experience with API testing and end-to-end system integration testing.
