Your skills & qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Education

Strong Java or .NET knowledge
- 4+ years Java, Java EE experience, or .NET experience
- Knowledge of patterns, core libraries and frameworks
- Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Implementation skills
- 4+ years experience with Oracle SQL preferred, or general Transact-SQL experience
Demonstrably strong skills in Integration technologies …
Specialize in writing programs that cater to many types of third party communication including:
Flat files
File parsing
Familiarity with many file formats: ASCII, BCD, etc.
XSLT Transformation
File filtering
Creating file wrappers etc.,
Working with existing (or writing new) File watcher apps
Windows services that run schedulable events
Experienced and comfortable with
- Leading in an Agile environment (we use JIRA)
- Current Windows and Linux experience (e.g., Bash)
Senior Technical skillset
- Stellar software development skills
- Strong troubleshooting, tracing and debugging skills,
- Experienced and happy to mentor on TDD, JUnit if experienced in Java or equivalent unit testing with .Net, Mocking frameworks
- Experience with requirements-management, backlog grooming and leading the development, review and subsequent implementation to technical specifications
- Experience mentoring junior team members, able to guide, teach and do
Degree in Software Engineering or similar
Utilities or Telecommunications Billing knowledge is desirable
