Being part of the VN Software Development department of Symbotic, an US robotics warehouse automation company based in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Drive the development of simulation systems and tools responsible for supporting the design, development, qualification, and deployment of large scale integrated robotic systems for our warehouse automation system
Develop faster than real-time and optimized simulation environments for driving key design decisions for new systems and products
Take responsibility for all aspects of the simulation tools used throughout the organization including individual robots, perception, controls, fleet-level operations, routing, and system-wide simulations
And perform similar duties as he deems fit for the proper execution of his duties and duties as delegated by the direct manager or the Employer.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience building robots including in simulation environments and optimization solutions.
Handon experience with developing simulations, digital-twins, and faster than real-time virtual environments for real-world applications.
Experience in programming, firmware, and/or system-level design. Knowledge of control theory, localization, path planning and navigation, computer vision... is a plus.
Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
Plus: Experience with ML and cloud computing models and tools for training in simulation
Plus: Experience with Nvidia Omniverse, Unity, Blender, or other rendering engines
Good teamwork, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
