We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer (m/f/d) that will contribute to the national & international development teams to build new products as well as implement third-party software components into the HRS Software Landscape. These new products will help our customers to manage their work-life smart, safe, and in a fully sustainable way – from arranging convenient overnight stays to booking flexible workplaces and making payments on the go, the intelligent mobile companion comprises all essentials needed to make travel hassle-free, rewarding and above all CO2 neutral.

The position is located as an important interface between the needs of customers, external partners and collaborates closely with product management, UX/UI, and other Product Owners within HRS.

Create solutions for our biggest clients like Amazon, Google, and Siemens
Collaborate across teams with regards to overarching technical concepts and practices
Work closely with our Product Owners, Product Head, Team members, and DevOps to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients
Promote high quality aimed at areas such as security, reliability, testability, and maintainability
Drive innovation by contributing new ideas for our processes, tools, and technologies

3+ years of proven hands-on Java Software Development experience
Strong knowledge of modern software engineering principles, patterns, and best practices. Understanding of micro-service and serverless architectures.
Experience designing and developing Restful APIs
Experience with cloud-native data stores and data processing systems
Experience in developing/deploying solutions to AWS Cloud
Experience with relational and non-relational data stores
Exposure to fault-tolerant, highly available distributed systems
Ability to work in a team, fast learning, and enthusiasm for the realization of innovative products
Fluency in English, spoken and written
