We are looking for a PHP programmer to create new software application systems as well as maintaining existing software applications used in the firm. This is a technical hands-on role. The primary focus for this position is application development, understanding and gathering of user requirements.

Your role & responsibilities
  • Understand and gather requirements from users’ requirements for application system development.
  • Develop and maintain PHP dynamic websites/ mobile applications based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain in-house enterprise applications like out of office system, CRM, etc using PHP on Laravel Framework
  • Design, setup, configure and maintain Databases using MySQL/Postgres or MS SQL for use with PHP web applications / using MySQL/Postgres.
  • Maintain existing application systems and websites used by Straits Financial Group.
  • Design UI/UX and develop interactive and dynamic websites based on business requirements with position PHP.
  • Maintain alignment with Straits Financial Group IT policies and procedures.

Your skills & qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’s application development experience ideally PHP development experience.
  • Background and working knowledge of IT Compliance and cybersecurity is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and experience in database design and development is desirable.
  • Ability to pick up new programming languages for application development.
  • Self-motivated, high level of dependability, organization, attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving skills required. Candidate must be able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Website development is desirable. Including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, PHP, Laravel, etc.
  • Working knowledge of commodity futures trading platforms is a plus.
  • Strong team player.
  • Fluent English is required.
