Network Engineer is responsible for implementing application systems to support the bank's business goals while striving for the highest quality. We aim to provide extensive system support by delivering reliable application solutions. We are looking for a dedicated Network Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance for our core banking system. Additionally, you will be required to align and develop Infrastructure architecture, assess business requirements, and oversee Infrastructure projects in line with IT Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities
Documentation: Document network configurations and support resolutions.
Database Management: Upgrade and manage the IT Infrastructure of the Bank.
System Architecture: Develop and align Infrastructure architecture in accordance with IT solution.
Project Management: Manage Infrastructure projects within budgets, timelines, and with required effectiveness and efficiency.
Business Intelligence: Develop Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.
Network Management: Administer and maintain the bank's network infrastructure; Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Cloud Services Management: Ensure all IT services and renewals are completed on time.
IT Policies Development: Assess requirements, design, and develop new IT Infrastructure to support business requirements; In conjunction with IT Security, develop and implement a comprehensive IT Security Policy.
Network Design: Design, implement, and maintain network solutions, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network-related challenges.
Network Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to end-users.
Training: Assess training requirements of the IT personnel and ensure adequate and relevant training is provided to them.
Community Engagement: Undertake any other responsibility as and when assigned by the competent authority of the bank from time to time.
Vendor Management: Oversee IT vendor management, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, external and internal audits, and security/regulatory certifications.
Team Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills to lead the team and ensure desired performance is delivered by the team.
Strategic Planning: Provide key inputs to IT Controller and other Senior IT Management personnel on IT issues and Infrastructure in the banking industry.
Expertise in Technologies: Be a part of IT committee meetings and advise Top Management on IT Projects and Strategy.
Requirements
Development Tools: Knowledge of the relevant technology stack components for network management, including but not limited to: Cisco routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, VPN technologies; Network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds.
Security: Strong understanding of network security practices and protocols; Knowledge of IT security best practices.
Problem Solving: Experience with network troubleshooting and support; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality network support; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to analyze and solve issues quickly and efficiently.
Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist end-users effectively.

Database Management: Proficiency in network administration, including the configuration and management of routers, switches, and firewalls; Familiarity with VLANs, subnetting, and IP routing.
