As an IT Manager or Head of IT Vietnam, you will play an integral role in the development of our class-leading products by ensuring our IT infrastructure used by our staff and pathologists within Vietnam is highly effective, efficient, and secure. Supporting our sites in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, as well as our remote staff you will have highly effective communication and problem-solving skills to ensure the IT needs of the business are supported.

Using your experience in IT best practices across networking infrastructure, cybersecurity, account management and governance you will help to expand the franklin.ai business as we continue to grow our presence throughout Vietnam. You are highly proficient in written and spoken English language skills and will be well suited to this position as you will work very closely with franklin.ai’s IT team in Australia. Working in partnership with the Australian IT team you will help to harmonise IT standards across the Australian and Vietnamese regions to ensure our operations are efficient, secure, and standardised This harmonisation process will be implemented through technical means such as creating and defining our standard operating environments, as well as through governance procedures such as local cybersecurity training and audits.

An important part of expanding our business within Vietnam is to expand the team, as IT Manager or Head of IT Vietnam, you will lead a team of IT professionals that support and maintain our business operations. Consisting of all levels from the helpdesk to support engineers, you will be responsible for building a highly collaborative and effective IT Vietnam team.

Your role & responsibilities

  • Maintain correct operations of our Vietnam IT services, supporting both labelling pathologists working in-office and remotely as well as operations staff.
  • Supporting existing and new labelling projects to ensure they occur in a time and cost-efficient manner.
  • Building and supporting a team of IT professionals to support the IT needs of the business.
  • Working collaboratively with the Australian franklin.ai IT team to ensure systems and processes are effective, consistent and secure.
  • Working with our departments of franklin.ai Vietnam to ensure their IT needs are satisfied.
  • Working with the franklin.ai Information Security Manager to ensure all staff within franklin.ai Vietnam are trained and capable of upholding our cybersecurity standards.
  • Managing our IT suppliers in accordance with our company procurement policies.
  • Managing existing on-premises infrastructure and that of future sites to ensure they meet the needs of the business in a timely, cost effective and secure manner.

Your skills & qualifications

  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience within the industry.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure and identity management.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/ software systems.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting physical computer networks, laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Experience in using a service desk management system including prioritisation of tasks and managing multiple workloads.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and lead your agenda and workloads with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences.
  • Industry-recognised certifications in relevant disciplines such as Microsoft 365, Azure, System administration, cloud engineering.

Preferred Qualifications: Though not essential, a relevant industry qualification such as the examples below is highly desirable within this role:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
  • Microsoft Certified: 365 Fundamentals.
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator.
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator.
  • Bachelor of IT.
  • Graduate Diploma in IT management.
