About Company
The DevOps Engineer will lead the process to design and implement a secure, reliable, scalable, and observable Kubernetes environment to run our SaaS application. To be successful, this person must have a background in software development and has a solid understanding of Kubernetes, cloud-based infrastructure and networking.
Your role & responsibilities
- Deploy and manage secure Kubernetes clusters on Azure
- Develop Kubernetes manifests to provision our application on Kubernetes
- Implement a CI/CD flow for Kubernetes using Azure DevOps
- Install and configure packages to provide observability, logging, and monitoring for Kubernetes and all system components.
- Have a strong focus on ensuring our system is secure, stable and scalable.
- Support the development team to fix issues on development/staging environment and investigate/fix issues on production.
- Manage infrastructure components on Azure.
Your skills & qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of DevOps and Kubernetes experience.
- Have experience with Azure functions on Azure and inside Kubernetes.
- Have experience with using Helm to manage package deployment.
- Have experience with Kubernetes operators for running stateful applications.
- Have solid understanding and experience with different deployment strategies to allow seamless upgrades.
- Demonstrated experience in SaaS applications
- Comfortable reading source code for the purpose of automation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Have a passion for maintaining secure, stable and scalable cloud applications for a global audience.
- Have an understanding of web and native programming languages including general capabilities and constraints.
- Confident with making decisions and comfortable with giving and receiving feedback and critique.
- Curious and inquisitive, and not afraid to ask lots of questions.
- Be able to communicate in English
