Participate in solution design and development of database solutions.
Extract and mine data using SQL.
Optimal and streamline stored procedures and views.
Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting and resolutions to data-related issues for new and existing systems.
Work as part of a larger DB team to provide ongoing production support to our customers and internal staff. This involves investigate production issues, locating root cause, and applying the appropriate fixes or change requests and documentation.
Work as part of a larger conversion team to convert data from a legacy system to the current database.
Assess the impact of change requests, and develop solutions and mitigation strategies.
Interpret business requirements and provide systems/technical documentation

Your skills & qualifications

Minimum 2 years experiences in SQL Server Database Development.
Experience in a fast paced production environment managing large and complex volumes of data.
Knowledge and experience in SQL Server 2012/2014 and Visual Studio.
Adept data analysis skills.
Proficient performance tuning and monitoring experience.
Understanding of indexing strategies and other performance related items.
Experience with PowerShell, agent jobs, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
Experience with data integration tool SSIS.
Strong experience writing stored procedures.
Ability to participate in code reviews and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
Attention to detail; an analytical and conceptual thinker.

Plus

Experience administering SQL Servers instances.
Experience in converting data from legacy database, data mapping and conversion to SQL Server.
