• Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
• Perform regular backups and recovery procedures
• Manage user access and permissions
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and support application development
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans
• Document database configurations, procedures, and policies
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a DBA or in a similar role
• Proficiency in database languages (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL)
• Familiarity with database management tools and platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
• Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus
• Certifications such as Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server DBA, or similar are advantageous
