Work with the data science team, this role will build Data strategy and develop Data solutions for AIA.

Your role & responsibilities
The Data Scientist will work with IT and other stakeholders to build AIA’s data lake and develop solutions to acquire/enrich data for it. Mine big data to discover actionable insights to drive improvements and innovation.
Work with Group Data Analytics and Partners to design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to predict which prospective customers are likely to buy AIA insurance products.
Work with Reinsurers, Partners and internal Underwriting team to design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to predict which prospective customers are less likely to lapse, less likely to claim when purchasing AIA insurance products.
Work with IT to integrate/deploy the models into AIA or Partner existing systems.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Your skills & qualifications
Education: Computer Science, Post-Graduate or PhD
Experience:
At least 3 years of working experience in Vietnam in Propensity modelling, Credit Scoring or Fraud Detection services.
Experience in insurance/banking/e-commerce/telco is a plus.
Personal skills:
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Logistic Regression, Neural Network, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, etc.
Excellent knowledge of Python and its math and data science libraries such as scikit, xgboost, pandas, etc.
Knowledge of statistics, SQL, Tableau is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and Data-driven mind-set.
Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
