APAC DATA HUB – DATA STEWARD 

 

This role is part of the D&T department of HEINEKEN International. D&T is proud to bring cutting edge innovation, robust technology, and advanced analytics to HEINEKEN. The role as part of the APAC Data & Analytics Hub is critical in Heineken to operationalize our strategy of standardized and scalable data foundations across the region and enterprise. 

 

The Data Steward is pivotal in our Data Management team. He or she is responsible for ensuring that master data is understood, used, and shared effectively and meets the highest quality and integrity standards. This position operates cross-domain, overseeing dependencies and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to solve data issues and improve data quality. It is a key player in our data management strategy. He or she will also need to support orchestrating global and regional programs in the Operating Companies. 

 

 - Elicit data requirements of functions, programs and other stakeholders. - Assess the extent to which these are met by current data artefacts (gaps detecting, assigning to rework, provide input to interested parties about amendments).  

- Support with functional and technical skills the delivery of data work for functions, projects and products.  

- Works hand in hand with Business and D&T to design and implement plans to optimize the data utilization within business processes  

- Understand and explain how the business processes produce and consume data  

- Understand and explain Heineken data assets and artefacts including EDM, data standards, data quality rules and data lineage and their interaction.  

- Share knowledge and understanding on using data tools and interpret analytical results

Your role & responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and data scientists to identify data needs and facilitate data integration projects. 
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on data processes and tools, fostering a culture of data literacy. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in data mapping and data management practices, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.

Your skills & qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced certification or degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred. 
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a Data Management or Data Governance role or similar roles. 
  • Technical Systems:  ARIS, SparX, Collibra, Ataccama, Power Me, Databricks Jira, Service Now Experience with most common data structures (JSON, Parquet, CSV etc.). Basic knowledge of SQL and Python 
  • Software & Communication: Advanced MS Office skills and professional fluency in English (written and verbal). 
  • Industry Context (Preferred): A solid understanding of the FMCG sector and familiarity with core business domains, including Supply Chain, Finance, and Commerce.
