AI Engineer (Machine Learning, Python)

As a software engineer, you will work on multiple projects critical to LizAI's needs, with our fast-paced business growing and evolving. Our engineers need to be versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack as we continue pushing technology forward. 

• You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. 
• Experience with Python or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C#, Java). 
• Design, code, and test new features, making marked contributions to the application and process, emphasizing performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code. 
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). 
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. 
• Lead and mentor new hires or junior engineers 
• Report the data to the team. 
• Comply with the data storage policies of LizAI. 
• Possible international business travels. 

Preferred qualifications: 

• 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., large language model), artificial intelligence, deep learning, and/or natural language processing. 
• Ability to work with a diverse, global community-based in many different locations and time zones. 
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and leadership skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting timelines and adapting to changing priorities 
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Minimum qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. 
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting. 
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit Learn, or Keras. 
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI. 
• Experience in building up end-to-end Machine Learning pipelines. 
• Good command of English communication.
