The Hinrich Foundation focuses on promoting a sustainable global trade system. We believe that trade is a primary driver of economic development, delivering higher standards of living to the citizens of all countries that participate in the trade system in a responsible and sustainable manner. We believe that open and fair trade promotes peace between countries, while protectionism and predatory practices build walls and exacerbate divisiveness.

We conduct research and analysis and provide commentary on global trade issues. We aim to contribute constructively to the public debate on trade in the hope that it will lead to better and more informed decision-making on the part of government, business and civil society.
