About Clearstone Software
Clearstone Software, LLC is a Texas-based technology company building two specialized platforms for the medical aesthetics industry:
Our Practice Management Platform — a mature, multi-tenant .NET SaaS for medical spas and clinics covering appointments, patient records (PHI), treatment planning, membership management, payments, and clinic operations. Currently running on .NET Framework 4.5-4.6 with a database-per-tenant multi-tenancy model, field-level PHI encryption, and HIPAA-aligned data-handling practices. Currently in final development for internal launch into our founder's own aesthetic clinics, followed by a coordinated stack modernization (to .NET 8/9 and ASP.NET Core) and infrastructure re-platform (Azure to AWS) ahead of commercial rollout to external med spa customers.
Our Practitioner Education Platform — a Laravel 10 + Filament 3 training and credentialing system for aesthetic practitioners, covering onboarding, skills assessment, competency monitoring, and continuing education. Built on a TALL stack (Tailwind + Alpine + Laravel + Livewire) with Vite for build tooling and AWS S3 for asset storage. Live video delivery is already integrated via Cloudflare Stream. Next phase: enterprise features, full multi-tenant SaaS launch, and AI-powered real-time practitioner feedback.
Our founder operates active medical aesthetic clinics under the Texas Lasers brand and leads a US-based aesthetic college and training institute. Every feature we ship gets tested in real clinical operations and real training environments before it reaches an external customer. We know what actually works in the aesthetic industry — not just what looks good in a demo — and that grounding shapes how we hire, how we prioritize, and how we ship.
Employment structure: All new hires begin employment via Multiplier Technologies Vietnam Company Limited (Employer of Record), with planned transition to direct employment with Clearstone Software Vietnam Co., Ltd. when we establish our Vietnamese entity in late 2026 / early 2027. This transition preserves continuity of service, social insurance, and all statutory benefits.
Work arrangement: Hybrid. You'll work 2-3 days per week from our team space in District 1 or District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, with the remaining days home-based. We value output over hours-in-chair; our office anchor days are for pair-programming, architecture discussions, and building the team.
The Role
You will own the frontend modernization of our Med Spa Practice Management Platform. The existing frontend is a jQuery 2 + Bootstrap 3 codebase — a mature, working UI that needs a coordinated migration to React with TypeScript.
Your work spans two phases: (1) finish the tablet-based check-in/checkout UI and cleanup on the existing jQuery/Bootstrap stack for internal launch, then (2) lead the incremental migration to React, implement multi-language UI infrastructure, and deliver a full UI refresh for commercial rollout.
The migration will be incremental — component-by-component, not big-bang — while keeping live clinical operations running throughout. If you've done a jQuery-era → React migration before, this role is designed for you.
What You'll Do
- First 60 days: Ship the tablet-based clinic check-in/checkout UI on the current jQuery/Bootstrap stack to complete internal launch. Address remaining UI cleanup and bug fixes.
- React scaffolding: Establish the React project structure, TypeScript configuration, build tooling (Vite or Next.js), state management, component library baseline (shadcn/ui, Radix, MUI, or similar), and design tokens.
- Incremental migration: Lead the component-by-component port from jQuery/Bootstrap to React. Establish patterns for legacy-and-React coexistence during transition so we keep shipping features while porting.
- Multi-language UI: Design and implement the i18n UI infrastructure using react-i18next or equivalent. Ship first-language rollout (English + at least one additional language for EU rollout).
- UI refresh for commercial rollout: Deliver a modern, responsive, accessible UI suitable for external commercial customers.
- API integration: Consume ASP.NET Core REST APIs, coordinate API contracts with the .NET backend team.
- Accessibility & responsiveness: Ship UI that meets WCAG and works cleanly on desktop, tablet (for in-clinic use), and mobile.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews
Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional frontend development, with strong JavaScript / TypeScript fluency
- Senior React experience — React 18+ with hooks, function components, modern state management (React Query / TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or equivalent)
- Direct experience migrating a jQuery/Bootstrap-era codebase to React — the core skill and perfect-fit signal
- Strong TypeScript fluency
- Strong CSS/HTML fundamentals — you can ship production-quality UI without waiting on a designer
- Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS proficiency
- i18n implementation experience in React (react-i18next, FormatJS, or equivalent)
- Comfortable consuming REST APIs from .NET backends
- Solid written English
- Attention to accessibility and user experience details
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with a full jQuery/Bootstrap → React migration in a live production system — perfect-fit signal
- Next.js experience for the build/framework layer
- Vite experience
- Tablet-optimized or kiosk-mode UI experience (in-clinic use case)
- Prior work on healthcare, wellness, or med spa software
- Design sensibility — you can partner with a designer or ship acceptable UI without one
- Component library development experience (Storybook, Chromatic)
- shadcn/ui, Radix, MUI, or similar component library experience
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards
- Progressive Web App (PWA) experience for tablet-in-clinic use
