The company sells industrial hardware and consumables, including fasteners, welding materials, adhesives, packaging film, pipes and fittings, and metal hardware, from a catalog of thousands of SKUs to two customer groups: hardware shops across the country and manufacturing factories. It buys from suppliers, holds its own inventory, and delivers to downstream business customers nationwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
WeCare is Vietnam’s leading B2B industrial supplies distribution platform, processing over 100,000 orders/month across nationwide manufacturing and hardware retail channels.
To power our next scale of growth, we are rebuilding our core ERP platform completely from the ground up-transitioning from a legacy low-code stack to a high-performance, cloud-native system on Google Cloud Platform.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, the role will be a foundational tech hire joining Phase 1. This will own the entire cloud foundation and co-architect our engineering harness (CI/CD, automated verification gates, AI-assisted delivery pipelines) alongside our R&D Lead. The platform decisions you make today will define our system architecture for years to come.
- Design and manage the GCP landing zone, project structure, VPC, IAM (least privilege principle), and multi-tier environments.
- Own end-to-end infrastructure provisioning using Terraform - ensuring 100% reproducibility with zero manual/hand-configured setups.
- Build and optimize GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, integrated with rigorous verification gates to maintain high code quality at AI-accelerated delivery speeds.
- Manage Cloud SQL with provisioning, HA/DR, automated backups, migration safety and establish Cloud Run deployment patterns with Pub/Sub messaging.
- Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, alerting, and SLA/SLO tracking using GCP Native tools/ Datadog.
- Establish the security baseline, including RBAC, Secret Manager integration, and audit logging.
- Bachelor’s Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure, Platform, or DevOps roles, with demonstrated production experience on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC).
- Production-grade Terraform experience.
- Advanced CI/CD pipeline design & operation.
- Solid PostgreSQL database operations & migration management.
- Fluent in English, required for writing Architecture Decision Records, system design docs, and runbooks.
NICE TO HAVE
- Semantic layer/ BI tooling (Lightdash, Looker, Metabase).
- Finance or accounting data experience (reconciliation, ledgers)
- Streaming pipelines, Vertex AI.
- E-commerce, ERP, or logistics domain experience, architecture decision records, design docs, runbooks.
- AI-native engineering: agent-assisted implementation, gated by deterministic verification (tests, linters, evals).
- Issue tracking in Linear; docs-as-code.
