AZ-Robotics is a Vietnam-based company specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). We are looking for a PCB Designer with 3+ years (Mid-level) or 5+ years (Senior) of experience to join our hardware team. In this role, you will design schematics and PCB layouts for our core UAV electronics — flight controllers, ESCs, motor drivers, data link transceivers, and companion computers — and work closely with firmware, RF, and mechanical engineers to bring high-performance, mission-ready drone platforms to production.

  • Design schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for UAV electronics, including flight controllers, ESCs, motor drivers, data link transceivers, and companion computer boards 
  • Use industry-standard EDA tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent) to deliver production-ready board designs, including library/footprint management and version control 
  • Design RF and wireless data link hardware (sub-GHz, 2.4/5.8 GHz, LTE/5G modules) with attention to impedance control, antenna matching, and link reliability for long-range UAV operation 
  • Design and maintain power electronics for ESCs and motor drivers (high-current MOSFET stages, gate drivers, current sensing) and sensor/peripheral interfacing for IMUs, barometers, GNSS, and payload modules 
  • Drive component selection, BOM optimization, and DFM/DFA reviews; coordinate with EMS partners on prototype runs and mass production 
  • Lead prototype bring-up, board-level debugging, and system-level validation on the bench and in flight test campaigns 
  • Analyze and resolve signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal issues — critical for compact, vibration-prone, weight-constrained UAV hardware 
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, embedded software, and mechanical engineers to ensure clean electrical/mechanical integration into the airframe 
  • Produce clear hardware documentation: schematics, layout notes, fabrication/assembly drawings, test procedures, and validation reports

Kỹ năng & trình độ của bạn
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of PCB design experience for Mid-level, or 5+ years for Senior, ideally on embedded/control or UAV/robotics hardware 
  • Proven track record in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout (4–8+ layers)through to PCBA release 
  • Solid grasp of analog, digital, and power electronics design, including signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal management 
  • Hands-on experience designing around MCUs/SoCs (STM32, ESP32, NXP i.MX, NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi CM, or similar) and embedded peripherals 
  • Working knowledge of embedded communication buses: SPI, I²C, UART, CAN/CAN-FD, USB, Ethernet, and similar 
  • Comfortable with lab equipment for bring-up and debugging: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, DC load, and power supplies 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience designing RF / wireless data link hardware (sub-GHz, 2.4/5.8 GHz, or cellular) including antenna and matching networks 
  • Knowledge of Li-ion/LiPo battery management systems (BMS), DC-DC converters, and BLDC motor control hardware 
  • Understanding of safety, reliability, and ruggedization requirements for aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical systems 
  • Experience working directly with PCB fabs and EMS partners through prototype, NPI, and mass production stages 

 

Nice-to-Have Experience 

  • Prior work on drone/UAV, robotics, or aerospace electronics platforms 
  • Hands-on ESC design experience, familiarity with FOC/BLDC motor control, or high current power electronics layout 
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to RF, EMI/EMC, or aviation electronics (FCC, CE, DO-160, or local equivalents) 
  • Experience with environmental and stress testing: vibration, thermal cycling, HALT, and reliability validation
