Job Summary: EHS is Corporate Shared Service providing functional service for all sites of Coherent Vietnam. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company environmental, health and safety policies. He /She will lead a team of professional such as EHS, Medical Support Team to ensure that these policies are implemented correctly and consistently across the organization. Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental, occupational health & safety management program such as policies & procedure in ensuring legal compliance with local occupational environmental, health, and safety regulations. To lead the Project Management team in ensuring the expansion of the facility compliance to the EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics studies and emergency management of the local requirement.

COUNTRY EHS PERMITTING AND REPORTING MANAGEMENT

  • All required environmental air plan applications, requests for determination, renewals, operating permit applications, and fees are submitted or renewed on-time.
  • All environmental calculations are properly performed. 
  • Required site environmental training sessions have been conducted.
  • All environmental inspections are escorted and facilitated. 
  • All site permit conditions are regularly checked for compliance. 
  • All regulatory environmental reporting requirements are met 
  • Any required environmental sampling is conducted or arranged. 

COUNTRY ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATIONS

  • The EHS employees are effectively supervised in the conduct of site solid and liquid waste operations, air quality, emergency response and radiation safety.
  • All off-site treatment, storage and disposal facilities (TSDFs) are regularly audited.

COUNTRY PROACTIVE SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS

  • Manage the Occupational Health & Safety, Hygiene as per VN law.
  • Manage the Site EHS with reference from Corporate EHS standard.
  • Developing and implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures, including identifying risks and providing training to employees on how to handle hazardous materials or situations
  • Ensuring that all safety equipment is in good working condition and available for use by all employees
  • Conducting inspections to identify potential hazards and create plans to eliminate them
  • Developing emergency response plans for natural disasters, fire hazards, chemical spills, etc.
  • Bimonthly meetings of the site Waste Minimization Team are attended

Kỹ năng & trình độ của bạn

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 08 years Environment, Safety and Health work experience with 3+ year of EHS Managerial/ Leadership Experience and at least 3 years in a safety and health program development and implementation. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing company located in Vietnam is required. Must be capable of managing upwards and laterally throughout the business organization. 
  • Experience in working with functional corporate partners is good to have for this position. Helpful experience in EHS auditing, Radiation Safety Officer, Laser Safety Officer, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist. 

Quality And Environmental Responsibilities

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
