• Microservices Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Java 21 LTS and Quarkus 3.x, leveraging Virtual Threads (Project Loom) for high-concurrency workloads.
• Reactive Programming: Implement reactive systems using Mutiny or standard reactive messaging patterns to handle high-throughput event streams.
• Native Compilation: Optimize applications for cloud-native deployment, utilizing GraalVM Native Images and CRaC (Coordinated Restore at Checkpoint) for instant startup.
• API Design: Develop robust RESTful APIs (JAX-RS) and GraphQL endpoints to interface with frontend applications and third-party systems.
• Database Integration: Work with PostgreSQL and Hibernate/Panache for efficient data persistence, managing complex transactions and data models.
• Observability: Implement distributed tracing and metrics using OpenTelemetry to ensure visibility across microservices.
• Quality & Testing: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Quarkus Test capabilities (Dev Services, Testcontainers).

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years of backend development experience in Java.
• Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with Quarkus 3.x (preferred) or deep expertise in Spring Boot 3+ with a solid understanding of MicroProfile standards.
• Cloud Native: Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Database: Solid SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate).
• Concepts: Deep understanding of dependency injection (CDI), REST standards, and asynchronous programming.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Experience with GraalVM and compiling Java to native executables.
• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Knowledge of Vert.x event loops and non-blocking I/O.
• Experience in the logistics or industrial automation domain.
