About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our core product team. You’ll work with a fast-moving group of engineers, designers, and business analysts to build scalable backend systems that power our product. Your focus will be backend architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

Service Development (Python & TypeScript)

Build and maintain APIs and event-driven services with FastAPI / Encore and Node.js.

Data Engineering

Model and optimize PostgreSQL databases, implement Row-Level Security, and enforce multi-tenant isolation.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Design AWS architectures (ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Cognito, etc.).
Define infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.

CI/CD & Dev Experience

Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Champion zero-downtime blue-green or canary releases.

Collaboration & Quality

Participate in design reviews, write clear documentation, and mentor teammates.

Databases: PostgreSQL 15 (RLS, partitioning), Redis
Cloud: AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, SQS/SNS, RDS)
IaC: AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi
CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, CloudWatch, Sentry

3+ years building production backends with both Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
Hands-on experience delivering services in FastAPI or Encore.
Expertise with PostgreSQL, RLS, and multi-tenant designs.
Proven ownership of AWS infrastructure via CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
Strong GitHub-based CI/CD skills.
Clear written and spoken English for architecture discussions.
