Systems Operations

• Monitor servers, Synology NAS, networks, VPN, and websites, and respond to incidents
• Create and revoke VPN, NAS, and Active Directory accounts when employees join or leave
• Check backup status and storage capacity; track SSL certificate and cloud service renewals
• Work with external vendors to resolve network and server issues

Backend and Databases

• Develop features and fix issues in the existing Java-based management system
• Deploy and operate internal applications
• Manage backups, restoration, access permissions, and query optimization for MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Build small tools to automate repetitive tasks
• Work with external partners on server migration using existing documentation

Documentation and Reporting

• Record completed work and update operational runbooks
• Provide weekly updates on work progress and incident resolution

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Hands-on experience managing production servers and databases
• Ability to diagnose and resolve server and database incidents
• Ability to verify backups and restore data
• Ability to develop REST APIs in Java, connect applications to databases, and read and modify existing code
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and strong SQL skills
• Ability to manage Linux server accounts, permissions, SSH, services, firewalls, and logs
• Experience deploying and operating applications with Docker, and configuring and operating nginx
• Basic understanding of networking and security concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and SSL
• Ability to deploy applications and carry out server migration tasks 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating Synology NAS, VMware, Fortigate, or AWS
• Experience setting up database replication or automated backups
• Experience using Git and reading technical documentation in English
• Experience using AI tools to support coding or documentation
