The CSR Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across supplier factories.
This role ensures suppliers operate in compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct, applicable legal requirements, and international responsible sourcing standards, while driving continuous improvement in workplace safety, environmental performance, and ethical manufacturing practices.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement capability to manage multiple suppliers and drive responsible sourcing performance through collaboration and influence.
1. Supplier CSR & Compliance Management
- Support execution of the company’s Responsible Sourcing and CSR strategy in Vietnam
- Monitor CSR performance of assigned suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure supplier compliance with:
- Company Supplier Code of Conduct
- Vietnamese labor laws and regulations
- International standards
- Conduct regular factory visits, compliance assessments, and risk reviews
- Follow up corrective action plans (CAPs) and verify effectiveness of remediation
- Escalate critical risks and non-compliance issues to CSR Lead in a timely manner
2. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Leadership
- Lead EHS risk assessment and improvement programs at supplier factories
- Review and support implementation of:
- Occupational safety management systems
- Chemical management practices
- Fire safety and emergency preparedness
- Environmental compliance (waste, wastewater, emissions, etc.)
- Support suppliers to align with international EHS standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 preferred)
- Identify systemic risks and recommend preventive solutions
3. Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate and participate in social and EHS audits
- Analyze audit findings and identify recurring or structural risks
- Develop supplier improvement roadmaps in collaboration with factory management and CSR Lead
4. Supplier Capability Building
- Deliver training programs on:
- Workplace safety
- Environmental management
- Worker wellbeing
- Responsible business practices
- Support suppliers in building internal ownership of CSR and EHS management
- Promote a proactive improvement culture beyond audit compliance
5. Stakeholder & Supplier Relationship Management
- Act as the primary CSR & EHS contact for assigned suppliers in Vietnam
- Build strong working relationships with supplier senior management, factory EHS teams, and compliance representatives
- Influence suppliers to drive continuous CSR and EHS improvements
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sourcing, Quality, Production planning)
- Manage multiple suppliers while ensuring consistent compliance standards
- Support resolution of compliance issues through constructive engagement and partnership
6. Reporting & Data Management
- Track CSR and EHS performance indicators for assigned suppliers
- Maintain accurate supplier compliance records and databases
- Prepare periodic reports and risk updates for CSR Lead – Vietnam
- Support preparation of reports for Global CSR / Responsible Sourcing teams
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for supplier risk mitigation
