We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. As a Power BI Architect, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to create scalable and efficient reporting and analytics solutions.

Your role & responsibilities

Solution Design and Architecture:

- Design and architect robust Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
- Define and enforce best practices for data visualization, report development, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate business requirements into effective data models and reporting solutions.
Data Modeling and ETL:

- Develop and optimize data models to support business requirements and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Work with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources into Power BI.
- Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Report and Dashboard Development:

- Create interactive and user-friendly reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure that Power BI reports are optimized for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Implement custom visuals and DAX calculations to meet complex reporting needs.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and Power BI users.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Optimize data models and queries to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval.
- Implement Power BI best practices to enhance the overall performance of the solution.
Training and Documentation:

- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and technical teams on Power BI tools and best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including design documents, data dictionaries, and user guides.

Your skills & qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Power BI development and architecture.
Strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
Proven experience in designing and implementing Power BI solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).
Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
Understanding of data governance and security practices.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
