BUSINESS TRAVEL CLUB
The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is based on the Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of HRS.de and HOTEL.DE that transform into much more than “just” a platform: BTC provides its members, individual business travelers, and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s safe, sustainable and upgraded travel experience. The primary purpose of BTC is to create loyalty between HRS and its customers. We envision a Prime-like system for Business Travelers, where members get on “golden handcuffs” for superior benefits and services. Thus, the Club and its products play an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy. It revolves around disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and domination of the Business Travel DACH market.
POSITION
In the responsible position of the Frontend Engineer, the future position holder is accountable to build our next generation of scalable frontends. As a Frontend Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining our front-end components. With a customer-centric mindset, you ensure high performance, and stabilization and enable our exclusive services for our business travel club members.

CHALLENGE
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
- Design, build and maintain APIs, services, frontends, and systems across HRS' engineering teams
- Work with engineers across the company to build new features for our business travel club members at large-scale
- Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter

- Enjoyment working on the frontend (React) with good knowledge of AWS services and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users
- Expertise in AWS cloud engineering. We still have some legacy; however, we are on a journey to a cloud-native, serverless, and NoOps environment. We need your expertise to bring us there
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems
- The ability to stitch together many different services and processes together even if you have not worked with them before
- The ability to put themselves in the shoes of the users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
- Enjoyment in working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
- Knowledge & skills in systems and services and writing high-quality code. We work primarily in React. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework
- Skills for upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
