DevOps Engineer

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam (On-site)

Salary Range: $1,200 USD to $3,000 USD (depends on experience)

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be able to make direct impactful changes that improve the entire software development lifecycle. We are adopting best in class tooling and technologies. In addition, you will be driven to build/implement tooling with one goal in mind: empower developers to build, deploy, and own their own software. This role will require passion for containerization; with the goal of leveraging container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

• Manage infrastructure both on-premises and cloud with fault tolerance and redundancy including capacity planning, setup, monitoring, investigate issues
• Initiate continuous process improvements over operational effectiveness
• Investigate and understand root causes for issues in business ops
• Anticipates operational problems by studying modes of operation
• Develops operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, screening alt. solutions; calculating economics; det. impact on total system
• In charge of Identity & Access Management Security
• Sets up, develops, and maintains an ML-enabled eco-system including job orchestration, feature store, fitting models, hyperparameter tuning methods
• Develop, review and modify CI/CD principles
• Maintain CI/CD tools/platforms, develop and maintain pipeline configurations
• Automate processes

• Strong working knowledge of Linux based systems
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment
• Knowledge of source control: Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket..
• Demonstrate good logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experienced working in an Agile, ITIL Process, fast-paced DevOps environment
• Good at English in communication skills
• Have experience in cloud services (AWS, GCP) is a bonus.
• Frameworks (KubeFlow), ML-Platfoms (JAX, TFX, MetaFlow) are bonuses

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree or equivalent in a related discipline (Computer Science, Engineer, etc.)
• At least 2+ years professional experience in a DevOps role
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
• Deep understanding of cloud providers primarily AWS
• Experience maintaining and using CI systems such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI, BitBucket
• Comfortable using common source control tools such as git
• Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Golang, .NET 5.x, Java
• Good to have knowledge: NGINX, Nexus, Squid, Key Vault

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of system design and architecture with understanding of servers, networking, and security
• Passion and deep understanding of immutable infrastructure
• Support using, contributing, and/or creating open-source software
• Understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, helm3
• Understanding of metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
• Knowledge of configuration management such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, etc.
