About Company
The System Engineer role provides professional services including design and deployment, technical support and management of our customer’s Server and System infrastructure.
Your role & responsibilities
- Maintaining virtualized servers, Cloud environment, Storage, Linux, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and other application servers.
- Maintaining hardware and software patch levels.
- Monitoring and managing systems used in support of data center operations. Example: iTOP, Centreon
Your skills & qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems or equivalent education and 2-4 years experience
- Strong background with core network and compute technologies in large-scale deployments
- Advanced technical knowledge of:
- Virtualization technologies (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, DRS, vMotion, HA, FT, SRM, SCVMM)
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, VMWare, Jelastic)
- Microsoft server products (Windows 2003 to 2016)
- Linux Server Products (Centos, Debian, Oracle Linux )
- SCCM including patch management, build image and application deployment
- Anti-Virus solutions with key products being McAfee & Sophos Endpoint Encryption products
- Server Hardware Support (HP / IBM / Dell / Cisco)
- Teamwork spirit but also able to manage Up, Across and Down as required
- Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-disciplinary problems and incidents
- Document new and existing processes
- Ability to use the Service Desk tool to manage incidents / changes / problems tickets, server hardware and software platforms, active directory, SAN technology including iSCSI
- Experience with Enterprise level backup tools (Veeam, Terabackup)
- Experience with Patch Management
- Knowledge Ansibile is an advantage
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience providing support to enterprise global clients
- Experience with cloud-based storage and compute (AWS or Azure)
- MCSE, VCP, AWS, LPIC-3, etc. industry certifications is advantage
- Maintain documentation
- Troubleshooting of automated services
- Support High Availability and Clustering solutions
- Experience of working in a multi-client solutions provider
- ITIL knowledge / accreditation specialising around operational Incident / Problem and change management
- Good communication in English
