Validus Vietnam is looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer who will help us deliver exciting and scalable customer facing platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer, we expect you to bring a high level of passion in scalable open-stack technology as well as continuing to learn new tech that will bring value to the team and Validus in general. Validus is a leading SME financing Fintech, based in Singapore and having operations in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Your role & responsibilities
- Be the Tech Lead for the VN Tech initiatives.
- Be the Tech frontline to support Business as Usual (BAU).
- Drive Tech Solutioning & Architecture, for scalable tech platforms (Web, Mobile, Integration services, Back-end APIs).
- Provide the technical bridge between product management and the technical delivery tribes.
- Drive microservices driven back-end architecture, using open APIs and ecosystem.
- Drive cross-platform solutioning and development across all channels.
Your skills & qualifications
Required Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in managing as Software Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java (EE / SE / Springboot).
- Good understanding of full-stack development and solutioning.
- Good understanding of Microservice Architecture.
- Great sense of Software Engineering Principles.
- Exceptional Design pattern thought process.
- Excellent OOP Experience.
- Have experience working in an Agile Team.
- Exceptional Technical, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Able to articulate technical issues & solutions approach with stakeholders as well as higher management.
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese. Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment.
Great if you have the following Technical Skills
- Javascript (ES 6), Typescript, NodeJS (Express JS).
- Modern Javascript frameworks (VueJS – preferably, AngularJS, ReactJS).
- NoSQL (DynamoDB / MongoDB / CouchDB).
- CICD – Bitbucket, Docker.
- Microservices, RESTFul API.
- AWS Services (EC2, S3, Cloudfront..etc).
- Jira, Confluence.
- TDD Approach.
