Your role & responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer and Team Mentor with a strong AWS background to join an exciting Consultancy based in the UK.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be working with a real mix of applying infrastructure as code tooling, cloud security and access management alongside creating cloud best practice in a huge live environment.
Your skills & qualifications
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with;
- Good knowledge of AWS cloud environments and strong cloud native architecture skills
- Broad technical knowledge within Ops including infrastructure as code including Terraform, Cloudformation, CI/CD and automation
- Good scripting or development experience using Python
- An understanding of the concepts underpinning Kubernetes and its applications, ideally having used/implemented it on a regular basis (but not essential).
- Strong Linux Experience
- Experience with delivering in an Agile manner, particularly Scrum
- Experience with CI systems such as Github, GitLab, Buddy, CircleCI, Azure DevOps
- Good at English is a must since you will do communication with global team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Development experience with Go, C# or other languages is a bonus
Whilst technical, you will also be involved in the cultural and process evolution within the platform; improving processes between Reliability, DevOps, Engineering and Platform teams, reviewing future tech for implementation whilst having the opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding engineering group.
