- EPOS is a global IT company specializing in Point of Sales technology, including Sales Management, Inventory Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Payment Gateways. Our clients include the Singapore Government, cafes, restaurants, shops, hospitals and MNCs (Boeing, Unilever, Airbus, Citibank, Magnum, Ben & Jerry’s, Marlboro, Mevius, and Camel).

At EPOS, all our developers have the opportunity to travel abroad to interact with actual EPOS customers, gather requirements and have a say in the development of the next generation of EPOS products.
- EPOS has been in Vietnam with our wholly owned subsidiary since 2009 (Floating Cube Studios Vietnam, https://floatingcube.com/).
- Our newest product is a POS for the U.S. market scheduled to be released in mid 2019.
- We're looking for a Technical Lead who loves building software to change the way we live and work. If the candidate showcases exceptional leadership/management abilities, he/she will have the opportunity to lead/manage the backend development team.
- You'll be responsible for the web component and back-end of the EPOS business platform. We use Ruby for our Backend. PostgreSQL and Ubuntu for our database and servers.
- You'll manage a team of 5 rails developers. You will be responsible for the growth and career development of your team.
Your skills & qualifications
Must have:
- A desire to build a great product that will be used worldwide
- Excellent Ruby on Rails knowledge and experience
- Experience managing a backend development team to produce elegant, easily maintainable code
- Leadership and team management abilities to supervise junior and senior developers in their career development.
- Passion for code quality and improvement. Our interviews are focused on coding ability, not paper qualifications.
- Strong in OOP Concepts, multithreading, design pattern.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Database (PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of concepts and methods related to analysis, design, and implementation in an object-oriented environment
- Scrum / Agile Development Experience
- Experience with code review and GIT
- Knowledge with Windows Apps Development, Windows Service, Mobile App (Xamarin)
