We are currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to maintain, analyze, design, program, debug and modify specific parts of our Customer Care and billing systems. The successful applicant will write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications and give input to improve procedures for installation, development and maintenance processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is focused on new development and maintenance work related to existing and future applications. This involves everything from minor code changes to architecture and design of new modules, including writing code, debugging, testing and documentation. As a senior level position, duties may also include leading architecture, design, and programming tasks of one or more engineers in a team leadership role.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing maintenance programming support
- Architecting, Designing, and developing new modules as needed
- Leading engineering tasks/efforts as needed
- Providing/arranging/leading maintenance programming support
- Acting as the engineering interface as needed with other project team members including Product Management, QA, Docs, Client Services
Your skills & qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- 5 years development experience of commercial/enterprise business systems with Microsoft technologies
- 3+ years in a Technical/Team Leader role including commercial development experience with C# and .NET Framework,
- 1 year experience with WCF / web service / .NET Remoting
- Knowledge on client side performance tuning
- Experience with Microsoft IIS, ASP.NET and AJAX
- Thorough knowledge of unit testing and test driven development techniques
- Exposure to Agile and SCRUM methodology
- Strong English communication skills
- Solid experience of Java and VB 6 development is a plus
