SOCOTEC VIETNAM is part of the growing Asia platform of SOCOTEC GROUP and works on projects in Asia as well as in support functions for European projects. We provide digital inspection, planning and maintenance solutions to our customers. We are currently expanding our employees for the digitalization of existing infrastructure. Our Vietnam subsidiary works closely with colleagues in France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the US, Spain and other SOCOTEC offices. For our office in Hanoi, we are looking immediately for a Junior Software Developer.
Responsibilities
Feature Development: Design and develop custom worksheets, reports, and workflows using JavaScript and XML, with guidance from the Team.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in applications, including configuration and deployment support.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Documentation: Learn and adapt to SpectraQEST and other enterprise systems (training provided).
Project Management: Contribute to projects that integrate with wider infrastructure (networks, OS, etc.)
Training and Mentoring: Receive mentorship to expand your skills in database design, SQL scripting, and future full stack development.
Requirements
Frameworks and Libraries: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience (e.g., coding bootcamps, personal projects).
Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and XML
Code Quality: Strong logical reasoning and ability to translate requirements into functional code.
Databases: Exposure to backend development or data-driven applications is an advantage
APIs and Web Services: Familiarity with network/infrastructure basics (OS, APIs, etc.) is an advantage
Cloud Services: Eagerness to learn enterprise systems like SpectraQEST (no prior experience needed)
Problem Solving: Problem-solving mindset with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently on tasks while staying aligned with team goals.
