Levitate Needs
We are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to work within Levitech, our technology department. S/he will be responsible for building, developing, and integrating web and mobile applications. S/he will be completely hands-on, writing well-formatted code while working within our development methodologies. We prefer applicants to have at least 3 years of experience within all aspects of web development, but we’re willing to speak with exceptional people with less experience
The ideal candidate is someone who is killed and passionate about software engineering – specifically front-end and/or back-end web development, and someone who is eager to fill in the gaps in their toolbox.
You will work within a cross-functional team encompassing product, design, and engineering to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an agile environment
Your role & responsibilities
- Work closely with our business product owners on an Agile team to fully understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarifications as needed.
- Work with other engineers on a collaborative Agile team to deliver code on an ongoing basis.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software across the stack.
- Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality code to production within estimated development timelines.
Your skills & qualifications
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, scalable applications and hands-on experience designing and creating microservices using best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience in coding on technologies like Java, Spring, Hibernate or any similar frameworks.
- Candidate must have prior experience in a scrum environment and should be able to design, code and deliver in a CI/CD based environment.
- Experience working on cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, OpenStack, etc.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies including React and/or VUE plus HTML5, and CSS3.
- Professional experience writing unit tests, performing code reviews, doing API testing (Postman, Swagger etc.).
