General Manager Vietnam responsible for Local Technology leadership supporting a team of technology engineers and is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Your role & responsibilities

  • Act as support to staff and also the group C-Suite leadership in prioritising and executing projects, liaise with direct reports and other stakeholders, assign and resolve tasks where appropriate on his behalf.
  • Act as the lead for Internal Controls and ensure market level compliance to group policies and procedures e.g. e.g. Employment law, Health and Health Plan, Report on the work of occupational safety and health of the enterprise
  • Independently seek resolution on day-to-day management issues requiring attention
  • Support the compliance of Business Finance processes, standards
  • Ensure C-Suite are well prepared for meetings and engagements
  • Coordinate with other departments and staff as needed, review to ensure all presentations, documents and briefs are appropriate and content accurate
  • Monitor all incoming project related correspondence to ensure prompt handling of all items
  • Manage follow up and execute actions as appropriate
  • Distribute work on projects on behalf of CEO to direct reports and others where appropriate and track to completion
  • Assist in prioritizing CEOs schedule to ensure appropriate time allocation for focus on deliverables and stakeholder management
  • Maintain an effective and close relationship with ALL teams and partners to ensure awareness/coordination of ongoing initiatives, direct communication and consistency of approach.

Your skills & qualifications

Qualification, Personal Attributes & Experience

  • At least 2-3 years of leadership experience and 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Demonstrated passion and ability for delivering results through extended communities and teams
  • Experience in building strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, building networks and participating in cross-functional projects including the ability to quickly build and achieve constructive working relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff up to very senior executives.
  • Proven ability to work across cultures and geographies with the flexibility to work across different time zones
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and constructively challenge individuals at a variety of levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, professional environment.
  • Excellent English skills, both written, spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management, prioritization and problem-solving skills required, as are solid communication, presentation and diplomacy skills.
  • High level of drive and pro-active working, multi-tasking and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative and out of the box thinking
  • Trustworthy and absolute discretion required at all times.
