About Company
Monster Pixel recruiting Backend Golang dev for work on our company project.
One of those projects is about IoT : For instance, if you have a drill and it's running in a mine and you want to know if the drill ever has a problem because you want to be sure it keeps drilling, then you can put these devices together all the way back in a row, up to 10 KM each apart, and then when the signal reaches the top of the mine, it can then be picked up by devices connected to the internet. So, data that may have taken hours or days or longer before to get now takes no time at all. It's instant data even when there's no internet.
Your role & responsibilities
- Work as a Software Engineer using Go (Golang) language. Our team is distributed - you’ll be working with teams located across the world
- Design and develop high-quality & high-performance webs/services, working with architects and other team members.
- Review, clarify & contribute to business/product requirements then work with Business/Product teams to transform ideas into reality.
- Research, assess, and adopt new technologies as required.
- Tracking and monitoring product metrics to get fast feedback from end-users.
- Actively participate
- Build reusable components and libraries for future use
- Total new hires: 2
Your skills & qualifications
- Experience in designing and implementing software applications. Specifically, web-based applications
- Experience with microservices and containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Snap, etc.)
- Min 1 years experience in Golang,
- Experience with NoSQL (Redis, Mongo, etc) and SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc)
- Experience of working and setting up Agile/DevOps development environment (CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, product backlog, user story, sprint planning, etc.)
- Good knowledge in SDLC tools like Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus
- Good understanding on OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Proven track record in writing clean and secure code
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver, able to handle stress with a positive attitude
- English communication skills is a plus
Nice to have :
- Experience with IoT SDKs/frameworks
- Experience with AngularJS/ReactJS or related front-end frameworks
- Knowledge on .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC
