Position Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test for API / web / mobile applications. Primary missions are to propose and implement solutions to improve quality of the product based on the LINE platform and developer productivity by using Test Automation.

Responsibilities

Development and operation of automated test scripts for web APIs and web applications.
Development and operation of test automation tools and test environments.
Planning and implementing automated tests appropriate for a target product.
Utilizing Test Automation and code review to detect product risks and bugs and providing improvement proposals.
Proposal and implementation of business and process improvement using Test Automation.

Your skills & qualifications

Required

1+ year experiences.
Experience in server side or web application development using Java.
Experience in automated test script development with Junit: Unit Test, Integration Test.
Having fundamental knowledge of database, networking, computer science.

Preferred

Experience in building and operating a system to execute automated tests using CI server.
Experience with operation and building of the following automated tests: Web API Test, Endto-end testing of web applications or smartphone apps.
Experience and skills with the following automated tests: TDD (Test-Driven Development), Refactoring, Mock/Test Doubles.
Experience with conducting Performance/Stress Test.
Experience with managing test process.
Experience with open-source software (OSS) (Hadoop, Redis, Spring framework, Jenkins, Docker, etc.).
Experience with developing traffic-intensive websites such as portal, e-commerce, community, etc.
Business-level English (Reading/Writing) and / or Japanese.
Experience with Agile, especially Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP).
Experience with finding issues, and proposing and implementing solutions.
