Vingroup Advanced Analytics (Vantix Inc) as Vingroup AI & Data Management Services and Solutions company. Currently, Vingroup is taking the initiate step to become the first autonomous driving car manufacturer for Vietnam. Our products aim to compete directly with other big players in the world. In this objective, Vantix is working on the core component of this Advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
We are looking for people who are as excited as we are to build autonomous vehicles that have huge positive impacts in the society. We are searching for an Functional Safety Group Leader to embed within our community to help design, develop, manage and run a robust set of ADAS components to build an advanced and highly safety autonomous car. You will have opportunities to work with world class talented engineers in Vietnam and Silicon Valley. The code you write will be the centerpiece of an autonomous driving vehicle, using AI and advanced math algorithms. It will have to be perfect code that is safe, fast, efficient on specialized hardware and zero room for error. You will need to be able to instrument, evaluate and debug highly complex piece of code, on advanced simulation platform as well as on the specialized hardware, work with partners in Vietnam and Silicon Valley to make tradeoffs needed to ensure we can deliver the most optimal code on time.
Your role & responsibilities
- As a Functional Safety Group Leader, reporting to the Head of Functional Safety, you are capable to apply a sound understanding of the fundamentals of functional safety engineering to pro-actively ensure that safety is built into the vehicle/product from start to completion.
- You thoroughly understand the principles and rationales behind standards, acknowledging that compliance is more than a ticking-the-boxes exercise.
- You work & communicate well (verbal and written) within multi-disciplinary project teams, and with suppliers and independent assessors/auditors.
- You are a self-starter, demonstrate confidence in your technical skills and display a strong "can-do" attitude with equal enthusiasm.
- You will need a strong understanding of product development for automotive and ISO 26262, safety analysis, requirements writing and key concepts such as ASIL decomposition, safety metrics (SPFM, LPF, PMHF), safety mechanisms etc.
- You are willing to join us with a teamwork spirit, share with junior engineers and provide coaching where needed.

Your skills & qualifications
- Master degree (or equivalent or higher) in engineering.
- Strong System, Electronics, Software and/or Hardware background.
- Experience (3+ years at least) in delivering functional safety projects.
- Experience using safety analysis (HARA, FTA, FMEA) and tools (Isograph Reliability workbench FaultTreePlus, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of the vehicle and its main core components.
- You will work with team members from different countries, good English skill is a must
